Futons 247 is the internet trading site of The Futon Shop Limited. We are a family company, based in Plymouth, Devon, and have been working with futons and sofabeds since 1994.

Our aim is to focus on the traditional aspects of futons; quality, service and value for money. We want our customers to get many years good service out of their purchase and tell all their friends!! We are always open to suggestions, comments and feedback from our customers, so if you've anything to say, please call or e-mail us.

Our offices, showroom and distribution are based in the HQ Business Centre in Union Street, Plymouth, Devon. We welcome visitors to the office, so if you would like to try our products you will be welcome. Do telephone first to ensure that a member of staff will be available to assist you.

Our Futon Mattresses.

Our Futon Mattresses are sourced direct from the factory, in Woodbury, Devon. All of the futon mattresses are individually hand manufactured to our specifications using combinations of lambswool, bonded felt and rebound polyester or foam, with additional fillings including Coir, Natural Latex and Pocket Springs available depending on your requirements. The futons are covered in a choice of tough cotton drills, chenilles or faux-suede fabrics.

You can select different filling types to suit your requirements on each product page. Making you choice can be complex, so please feel free to call us for advice.

Our Futon Bases.

Our traditional pine futon bases are manufactured in Vietnam to our specification, using a tough Radiata pine to reduce splintering and 'sap' pockets. All our pine bed bases are fully UK manufactured using Scandinavian pine, whilst the hardwood bases use eco-friendly 'rubberwood' from Malaysia. We have found, over the years, that the quality of futon bases from Malaysia and Vietnam has consistantly been of a high quality and the forestation rules governing their production ensure a correct turnaround of replanting. Metal bases are now sourced from China, where the latest manufacturing techniques have provided quality products at big value for money prices.

Direct Delivery or Factory Collection?

We can deliver direct to your home, or place of work, throughout mainland UK, by a parcel carrier, such as NightFreight or CityLink, or we can now offer you the choice of collecting your purchase direct from our factory in Woodbury on the edge of Exeter, just off the M5 motorway. I have to add a note about this great small business down in Rock, Cornwall. We had some dining chairs re-covered by Louise at Kitsch Attic in an unusual fabric combination that looks great in our dining room; a particulalry dark room with lots of wood.
